I picked a turtle as my animal becuase its colorful and I like to be too!
Hey, my name is Kyra Gephart. I have brown hair and brown eyes. I like to play alot of sports such as basketball, volleyball and track. I have a goat named Zoey, I love her! I have 2 cats their names are Fluffy and Homer. I did have 2 rabbits. I also had 1 horse. Also I have 2 dogs, pogo and rubby. Green is one of my favorite colors. I have a 2 sisters, kendra and heather. I have 1 brother, kyle. And I can be very random at times :)
Plants
Most plants are up at the top of the water to reach the sunlight.
They are able to float on the water becuase they are flat.
Freshwater plants are flexible which helps with oncomming tides.
They can stay under the water becuase of their thin leaves.
Animals
Freshwater biomes support over 700 species of fish.
About 1,200 amphibians including frogs, newts and salamanders.
Fish and other animals that live underwater need gills to breath.
Some animals need the movement of river or stream water to survive.
Climate
The climate in the freshwater biome has very little salt water less than 1%.
The climate is usally unpredictable.
In the summer, the temperature can range from 4° C near the bottom to 22° C at the top.
In the spring and fall, the top and bottom layers mix and then the average temperature is 4*C
